Anime Streaming feature gets a Major Upgrade with Amazon S3. (Goodbye Youtube :( )

Thank you Jeff Bezos for the Seed funding. I don't get why the internet hates him. Thanks to AWS, we're ditching YouTube completely. YouTube's been a bad boy, flagging all our content and killing our fanbase following😢, and so i talked with the Anime team and we decided that We're releasing the Anime pilot for Exclusive / simultaneous streaming in the App and at Selected film festivals around the world. We're coming to Sundance international film festival. Oh, and one more thing, we're coming to iOS devices soon.

Pretty neat huh? You can stream the Animatic. It'll be on our homepage for a week.

Edit: 11/08/21

We did it. In app video streaming works.

How does it work?

(1) First We host the anime video on the internet as a .webm file on Amazon S3 storage bucket. Webm is a native web video encoding format so it works well for internet sharing

(2) I download the video as raw pool-byte-array into Godot game engine and save it locally as a .webm file. I used the File class to do this. I decompress and store the buffered pool-byte-array to a file and saved it locally as a .webm video file

(3) I make the .webm video file a global variable and pass it to my in app video player and it plays the video

What does that mean for the users?

It also means we can localize anime content to specific user bases, add in dubs in various languages. The limit is our imagination.

What does it mean for the studio?

It means we can begin monetizing our content  despite our small userbase and curating those content how we, the creators wanted you the users to view them. Youtube places a 1000 subscribers minimum to monetize video content. For short independent films, that's not acceptable. So we're moving all Video content off youtube to our servers.

What does this mean for the open source community?

It means that more independent artists, animators and developers can finally get the tools to directly sell to their fans, interract with them and curate their content without dealing with middle men and distribution companies. Let's make the world open source.

Thank you.

P.s: Lawrence (Our resident voice actor) has sent over his voice over practice takes. We're working on After dubbing the anime pilot's voice over. Anime production is hectic even in the backend, behind all the codes and GUI. I'm thankful to you all.
