Sigh, i was wrong again.

We made it!

With 2 dollars in my bank account, a dollar in my hand, and $10 (unwithdrawable) in cryptocurrencies, We motherf****** made it, even though we had our backs up against the wall. Big shout out to AWS and Appodeal, the Dystopia team, everyone that's sharing this app, talking about it, downloading it. My dev log about going bankrupt and taking those loans brought in an ad mediator company, they sponsored ads on the app and as at today (the day of publishing this log), we're running ads in Europe and the United States of America. I love you Internet. Going by out Data analytics, users in US and Nigeria make up the bulk of our user base and we have one active mobile user in the US. I can understand the Nigerian users but the US users? Wow, Mind-blown. I love you solo US player!, you make me valid. The amount of love being shown so far to the Dystopia project globally is amazing. If you get to see one of our ads, screenshot it and send over, i'd love to see it. As of the time of releasing this devlog, the mobile and pc builds of the dystopia app are completely synchronized so the next sets of updates will be for PC users and then a month or two after, will be ported to mobile users. This is the current release formula and it may change as our number of users grow for mobile devices. We currently have +40 PC users and +10 Mobile users

I got a lot of complaints through a user that "...People want an IOS app..", i hear it alot from my voice-actor and from friends of friends, and i know that this is what our users want. IOS and Mac users, please be patient with me, i hereby do solemnly swear to release an apple build as soon as possible once our user-base reaches critical mass, for now improving game-play and keeping this company going is of more priority, download the Linux app in the meantime, it's the same game play  .

. Here are some of the updates planned for October in the Dystopia app:

- Animated pilot release

- Improved video streaming/ download times

-Improved UI to be more intuitive

-Bug fixes and stability improvements.

-Refactored code base for version 1.1.7 release.

I have been playing alot of GTA V over the weekend, and i see how their UI is very complex and requires tutorials and frequent gameplay to understand. I am developing the Dystopia app to be the exact opposite of that but to provide the same levels of freedom and user controls. I took a page from Steve Job's apple design books on this one; i do get regular complaints from users who don't know how to start the game and what to do and what buttons to press. To solve this, AAA games like GTA V and God of War 4 create tutorial levels, hint systems, and tutorial missions to teach players how to control the game. I would like to take the inverse of this approach by making the game so intuitive, users can easily figure out what to do and how to do it, and if there are still complaints, i'll implement a hint system.

The app has 3 main features

(1) Manga reading

(2) Anime streaming

(3) Gaming

I would love to see how users interact with these 3 features, it will decide which of them gets development priority in the next development cycle. Which feature did you enjoy more? what bugs did you encounter? Feel free to share, tweet or send an email at inhumanityarts@gmail.com

Thank you for viewing my devlog. Consider buying the game or donating cryptocurrencies to support development, if you'd like to see more from this project.
