Dev Log (Day 7)
Devlog Day 7
The theme of today is Broken scenes, broken dependencies and failed compilation.
Everything that was meant to build, mostly didn't build
Scenes that should be easy to port, ported with tons of broken/missing dependencies
Rust Compiler didn't compile for the Algot plugin for web assembly or Android
Everything that could break, broke.
I tried porting some scenes from Emilio's Dialogic to setup a built-in Documentation for Algodot Plugin, but boy, was I in over my head. That man programs like a Java programmer. Too much static functions and singletons with interconnected features. Bruh 😑, like 30 interconnected scenes just to build an Editor? Use like 5 scenes max Emilio, fgs.
If you don't know Emilio, he's one of our core devs on Godot game engine. He's cool, but his code is a pain in the ass to build on. It reads like Java, no cap 🧢.
Sigh, I'll try again tomorrow.
